With their inheritance restricted until their marriage, sisters Clara and Louisa, both in their twenties, must live with their godfather Drosselmeyer. One night, an accident brings to life one of the strange wooden dolls in Drosselmeyer's mansion. The Nutcracker doll is a cursed Fae prince, and he pleads for the sisters' help. During the ensuing journey into the Fae realm, Clara encounters the handsome Sugarplum Faerie, and he promises her the chance to enact all her forbidden fantasies. Meanwhile Louisa and the Nutcracker Prince battle and bicker over everything, despite the growing attraction between them. And to make matters worse, the entire Seelie kingdom is under threat of conquest by the Rat King, ruler of the Dread Court.
This is a very spicy, adult, fantasy romance retelling of "The Nutcracker" fairytale with dark themes and scenes.

When will you ship my box?
Your box will be shipped 1-2 business days after the first business day of the month.
Can I still order a box after the month has started?
Yes, you can purchase the ongoing month's box up until 2 weeks before the end of the month.
Do you ship internationally?
We currently ship to all countries internationally. Shipping times will vary depending on location and will be calculated at the time of purchase.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Canceling is easy! Each of your subscriptions can be managed via the Hopeless Romantic account portal. The log in can be found in the top right corner of our website or for the mobile website, by clicking the "Cart" button on our website.
Can I swap for a different book or pause my subscription?
We understand that you may have already read the book of the month or perhaps you may want to read a different book other than what's being offered. However, due to the nature of what's in stock we cannot offer a book swap. To avoid receiving a book you've already read, we will post the upcoming book of the month at least one week prior to delivering next month's subscription box. You can find that book on this page and on our social media channels. We encourage you to take a look and see if this month's box interests you. If you'd like to skip this month's delivery, you can do so through the subscription portal.
Is shipping included in the price of the box?
Due to the nature of where we ship & the varying shipping rates, we cannot offer free shipping at this time. Shipping and tax will be calculated at the point of purchase.
